More fun around the town

We're enjoying time at the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry one day and the Festival of Trees with Donavan - another day. Busy, busy ...

What else are we doing while in Seattle, WA?

Building a gingerbread house! Although Kiave does not get to taste the treat (dietary restrictions), he does enjoy making it.

Spending time with the Johnson Twins

During our most recent trip to Seattle, WA, we enjoyed spending time with Tia Shawnti and Tio Morris. Now that "the boys" are five months old, it's been fun watching them grow.

A new friend in our neighborhood

During the summer, we had a chance to meet a new friend - Donavan. We had the pleasure of taking swimming classes together and learned that we lived in the same 'hood. In fact, Donavan and Azahn share the same birth date/year (June 22, 2005).

Anyway, we are enjoying time at a local education center, where we learn about making corn meal and other 'fun' crafts/activities. Since Summer 2007, we've been enjoying our time with Donavan and his family.

A day at the skating rink!

Here we are - first time with rollerskates! Azahn and Kiave actually did pretty well. Of course, Kiave was a bit hesitant - and Azahn was not! Eventually, Kiave joined the rink and had a great time.

We have been in Oregon way too long!

After a nice bath, Kiave prepares for bed with his lion towel!



I guess he enjoyed camping so much, he decided to bring the tent into his bedroom!







Here we are again - walking in the woods! Kiave and Azahn are getting pretty good at this.

We found a [new] nature trail in the 'hood so, here's what we're doing -

After traveling for 12+ miles, Kiave takes a break.













Somehow, he avoids taking a nap (on this particular afternoon) and decides to 'prune' the garden instead!

Tryon Creek State Park

As we move into the month of October, we take the time to enjoy the changing seasons: Summer - Fall. It's a pretty time of year, and Kiave and Azahn explore all parts of nature in this park!

La Locomotora Que Si Pudo!

Okay ... translation = The Little Engine That Could! Kiave and Azahn have read this book so many times, they were excited to participate in the railroad tour.

As you can see, they really enjoyed visiting the characters from the book.
